Finally I sold my old system... its ready to go tomorrow morning... I won't keep anything just for 1 512MB DDR400 that I have to sold asap and will post it soon. Now the point is that I was looking at different parts in order to build my new system , this is what I will put together unless somebody has a better suggestion. The system will be silent and fast, those are the two main points:

- ImageQuest L90D+ 19" LCD Monitor w/ Speakers, 8ms and DVI –RETAIL

- NEC 16X Double Layer DVD±RW Drive, Black, Model ND-3520A BK, OEM

- ANTEC Life Style Series Black Case With 380W Power Supply, Model "SONATA"

- SIIG USB 2.0 9-in-1 R/W + Floppy Card Reader JU-91RW12 Retail

Please advice if you think you know a better componet for the almost same price!

That Video card WILL NOT work with that mobo.. You have to get a PCI-e card for it.. Looks good otherwise..

6600Gt seems to be the best bang for the buck - read the reviews at AT and look for new and improved fan - should be ~$175-180

ok will check it!

If you already own that videocard, why not then get an MSI mobo that'll support it if the ASUS one doesn't?

Once I updated the bios with my MSI mobo, it's been troublefree ever since (same cpu, 3500+ "winchester").

Faster spinning HDDs might also help. My 2 76 gb SATA raptors spin at 10K rpms.

Thanks will check it but now the Vid is gone...lol so I will start from 0 ... still I may have the same vid with that MSI you tell me... I really like asus but... will see the Raptors are faster but a little loud for my taste!
