nexus: If you want to use the ATI drivers go and get Patje's Mobility Modding (http://www.driverheaven.net/patje/) and patch the ATI INF files to work on the cards. I do it on my laptop and have no issues.

You shouldn't really NEED to do anything with it.
As for laptop drivers, I believe that you're safest by using those offered by the lappy's manufacturer. Usually the only time you'ld need to get new drivers would be if you're upgrading an OS from Win98 to Win2K, XP (for example) and I know that doesn't apply to your new laptop.
I've been there with my 3.5 yr old laptop that originally arrived with Win98ME as that had to go.

There ARE BIOS updates for laptops, there just may not be one out right now for yours. If you have an ATI video chip you can use the standard Catalyst drivers. Don't bother with the manufacturer drivers - they're always way behind.
