Might want to check power supply. We had a firewall go down at our office and it's video wouldn't show up although it seemed like it was on. I replaced the power supply and video came up

unless you were flashing your bios and restarting the computer, your wouldn't be having any bios issues... please list your system specs so you can be helped more

More details please.
Is this an onboard video card? If so have you tried another?
Do you get any error beeps?
Have you tried removing and re-seating the RAM, video and CPU?
Pull all cards except the video card. I've seen bad cards short out the bus and prevent the computer from POSTing.

Not true. I came home 2 days ago and my computer would not go into a normal mode. Fans, HD, everything came on but no video and no POST. Turns out it was a BIOS setting that was messing with my RAM. Cleared the CMOS using the onboard jumper and all of a sudden it worked. I hadn't changed BIOS settings in months. First time I've had this issue also. My case may have also had the memory at fault but computers can be very weird and perticular. I never say it can't happen because I have seen the impossible happen on computers.

clearing the CMOS is different then the bios being erased, all you did was reset the bios preferences back to factory default...

Correct, however, from the wording in the post and the fact it is his first post, he is probably getting a CMOS Checksum error or no POST and takes that to be the BIOS being erased. His problem does seem to be an error when it comes BIOS settings not the BIOS itself.
p8ntballjunky: If you have your motherboard manual look in it for a CMOS Reset jumper. It should be located close to the battery on the actual board. If you clear the CMOS to be the factory default BIOS settings you may be able to boot up. You then may have to change appropriate settings to get the CPU settings correct, as the board may default to 100 Mhz FSB. But as FP said, we do need some more info to narrow down the problem.

See my post above. Reseat CPU & RAM, swap out the vid card for a known good one.
