Sound Question.

What is it that causes noises suck as I dunno Popping of gringing when you Run your mouse around or something of that nature. I sold my SBLive recently and it never occured with it, However I am Now using my onboard sound with and ic7 mobo. The sound quality is aweful and I hear this buzzing etc all the time, Could it be speaker grounding? I dunno.

Thanks!

If you hear rapid clicking as you move the mouse, that's a driver/IRQ issue. A reboot will clear it temporarily but I would recommend downloading a newer driver.

What kind of chipset is it? The nForce chipsets are good, and so is anything using C-Media. I'm not a big fan of AC97 chipsets.

The good thing is that if your sound chip sucks, a good CMedia card will only cost around $20 shipped from NewEgg.

It is very temporary till X-mas eve, SB Audigy 2zs coming my way. I have just heard it before in other systems, and never really knew what was up, I always figured it came from a poor ground or something of that nature, I have an AMP that when plugged up you can hear the same thing.. Buzzing phone chats LOL that is funny sometimes, radio noise.

Thanks FP.
