Amd Rma?

Anyone know if AMD will RMA a whole CPU if the HSF dies? One of our servers at work was crashing repeatedly today. When we opened it up we found a one fo the CPU fans spinning slowly and making an awful racket. We bought a new HSF at CompUSA to get the server back up and the chip (retail MP 1600+, <3 years old) still works fine. I'm wondering if its even worth contacting AMD over this? Any thoughts/opinions?

I wouldn't worry about it.
If it's a retail CPU you should hang on to the old HSF though since you can't RMA the CPU without the HSF. They have to be shipped back together.
