Could it be locking up looking for the LAN connection at the store?

Pretty bizarre. This happens with nothing but the keyboard, monitor, and mouse connected to it? Don't connect anything else to it.

Some suggestions:

POWER PROBLEM: The store perhaps has slightly lower/higher voltage than home, and the PSU in the computer is flaky and not dealing with it.

MONITOR: I assume you're using a different monitor at both locations? Maybe the store monitor has a voltage leak or ground loop down one of the pins and making the computer crash. Along those lines make sure the computer and EVERYTHING plugged into it is on the same double outlet and not using seperate outlets. I've seen ground loops between 2 different outlets of as much as 20 volts - enough to cause major problems. Ideally everything should be on one power strip connected to one outlet.

KEYBOARD: Is it a different keyboard at the store? Could be there's a problem with it.
