Hey all!
wonder if there is anyone out there that can explain to me why...when i try to play a game that the game disconnects and returns to XP main screen!!??
The problem has been with most games (but not 'sim city 4 or sims) the game im trying to play is:

THEME PARK WORLD
(minimum specs needed): windows 95-98 or better, 200Mhz with MMX,32mb ram,300mb hard disk,4*cd-rom,4Mb video card.
also: video+sound card with directX 6.1 or better,direct 3d requires3d accellerator with full 3d driver support.

Now my system:
AMD athlon XP 2500+,1830Mhz,333mhz fsb,512kb barton.
EPOX 8K9A7i mobo (inbuilt AC'97 audio 'realtek' 6.1
plextor cd/dvd burning rom
Geforce2 graphic card,64MB, plus more.......................

Why is this happening? i have 'directX9 installed on my PC! My system has more than needed to run the game , but im unsure what 'direct 3d+3d accellerator+driver is? and if i have that installed already (as a standard install with XP PRO)?
If not then where and what one can i download so that its compatable with my system?

yo. Could it be a heat issue? try playing the game with the side of the case off. then if it still has the same prob, try blowing a house boxfan (or any fan) in there to see if that fixes it. And if that does fix it, then it is a heat issue and we can go from there.

make sure you have all the Dx9 updates.

make sure you have the latest video card drivers. (Nvidia video drivers)

Also make sure you have the correct chipset drivers for your motherboard installed.

make sure your heatsink is properly seated.

Heh, one more thing. I diagnosed a computer the other day with possible heat issues, or the video card was going out, either one. Well it ended up being spyware. So make sure you check for adaware as well as spyware for they can cause unforeseen problems on your machine as well.
