Backup of Files

I'm trying to determine how to properly do what I want. What I want to do is copy over a few folders over from my desktop to my laptop when i shut down my laptop but not all files just changed/new files (basically synchronize the files). I've tried Offline Files and it seems to do what I want but I haven't found a way to copy the files to a specific folder. I also can't use Offline Files on PST files
