Did you try System Restore?

I've also found that certain malicious Active-X scripts and adware scripts can screw up all your active-x plugins, so now I prune those along with normal Spyware cleanup.

In IE go to Tools->Internet Options->Temporary Internet Files "Settings" button -> View Objects.

Delete anything that has a status of Damaged or Unknown.

Does something to disable some Active X controls as well I believe.. ?? You may want to check to see if the settings in IE allow you to view pages w/Active X controls. GL eGo
