South Jersey hardware fest

Post by VidmanII »

Last FRI nite I got together w/ DaMan and Billygoat for some hardware swaps and just general messin' around with some new stuff each of us had gotten. Bigtime fun as we gutted my rig and put in the A64 / K8T combo, copied over some movies and spent some time oogling David's Sager "Mega Laptop" !! Those things are incredible.

We had alot of stuff floatin' around in teh VidmanII "dungeon" ranging from desktop barton's, mobile's , A64's, P4's, above lappy, big CRT's and a gaggle of goofy RAM sets. Was truly a blast. I think you had to have been into PC's tho to appreciate it. :D I told a few people at work about it and they just looked at me funny. :laugh

Bottom line = PCA people are the best. Friends coming together for fun, trades and just some laid back times. Have to start work on the Jersey PCA bar-B-Q. :)

How far from Houston, San Antonio or Mexico?
I love to travel, just might show up for a deep south lan :)

Course from here in MO, it might be closer to go to NJ than travel across Texas :)
I miss that beautiful west Texas desert though! Out around Van Horn ;)

Yea, I was about 20 miles from Van Horne and nothing was there either :)
Course when I was there, basically there was nothing in Van Horne either. But it sure was nice being in the desert those few months. Even got a nice DEEP snow while I was there.

Most of Texas was a bore fest the times I traveled threw it- But the texas coast- like in harllington- south padre Island- weather was beautiful- water was awsome- and all the scantily clad women :w ow \

Dont Mess with Texas :)
