Seagate STIR problem

Hi,
I bought a Seagate 200gb hard drive. It periodically generates a disturbing seeking noise, which is called as STIR, which happens when the computer is idle. Seagate technical support is unwillingful to give information on that other than 'if it disturbs replace the drive'. Since, they forgot to include STIR information on the drive specifications document I don't know whether it is used in all their high capacity drives. If you observe a similar problem with your drive, can you share any information you have on that (e.g., if it used in all their drives or if it can cause any problem they forget to mention, since seeking causes more than normal vibrations, or, ...) with us?
Thanks.
