Add an Input Jack to Your NForce 2 Mobo

Hello everyone I found a cool little trick that I thought I would share with you all. I have an Epox 8RDA+ and have been using the onboard sound. As most of you know there are 3 jacks on the board (and I believe most if not all Nforce 2 mobo) one for speaker out one for mic in and one for line in. Or you can run the Soundstorm speaker set up wizard and configure them all for output of surround sound. I had mine running with one speaker out and all was fine until I got some Logitech Z-640 speakers that had 3 input lines that I wanted to use to make the speakers sound their best. Problem was I still needed a sound in line to run from my TV Tuner card. I was about to buy a new sound card when someone suggested I take the cable that ran from the TV Tuner card to the sound card and cut one end off and splice on one of those little square plugs that go on the cable that runs from the CD Drive to the CD IN. I did this and it works flawlessly. You could do the same thing with a female mini plug and the CD IN plug if you need an extra input jack for your NForce 2 onboard sound.
