No, the stars are telling you not to overclock.

HAHA. I'm only laughing 'cause I've been there SOOOOOOO often. If you're like me tho ( read: stubborn ) you'll have at it and eventually get to the bottom of what's what. Sometimes I do buy something tho just to calm my friggin' nerves and to know that hopefully, I'll at least have SOMETHING that works in the house within a few days time.
Is there anything worse that having stuff go "kaflooey" and your wife and kidz are right there with the inevitable ...." yo! Mr. Computer wizard! WTF? " .....looks on their faces?
WV, on the main rig. unplug the pwr cord, remove cmos battery and let sit like that for 30 minutes. Then reinstall it , connect everything and see what happens.
......sounds crazy but I've read that can work wonderz.

Obviously, it's all Vid's fault for starting with this mobile athlon thing
anyway I rma'd the mobo in the main system and ordered one of those DFI ones for a change - couldn't even get a post out of it at all -
the 8rda+ is out of warranty so i will have to figure that out - probably just get a new bios chip - what was painful was shipping out a working 8rda+ that i had already sold this morning, hehe life of an overclocker....
hmm...my daughter doen't use her computer that much-mostly uses the screensaver as a nightlight...I could slip a mobile 2400 in there..............hehe

I'll not be boasting, but my main rig has done me wonderfully for a little over a year now since I got my 8RDA+ only problems have been when trying to do a Dual boot of 2k and XPro I'm still trying to decide if now that I have 2kPro installed I can run a dual boot w/XP on top of it without losing everything.. heh..

That isn't a bad price at all..

I could handle that for a bad bios especially for the 8RDA+ I love this board.. Granted mine is a rev2.x Ultra 400.. heh..

haha. I just ordered another one, an xpm2400+ like yours and an Albatron KX600S Pro ( VIA KT600 ) to see if I can get the mobile to run unlocked on it. If not, probably just trade the xpm for a desktop Barton25+ or use it in a build for somebody down the line.
CPU and mobo for $138. :laugh
Cheaper than buying just a LANparty by itself.

the 2400m's that are coming out of the nj warehouse all seem to hit at least 2.4 according to the threads at AT and other places
and it appears that they are factory unlocked so that lappies can play with the divider/power settings

I had that KT6 MSi w/ the AMI BIOS tho that locked the xpm26+ multi @ 15x which kinda sucked. Albatron uses a Phoenix BIOS so I'm hopin' that might be the difference between it being locked or unlocked. We shall see. Never can tell with the VIA KT6's until ya try them. No biggie either way.

Somethin' to play with on my days off next week.

just gonna leave this pretty much stock - have some new memory coming so then we'll party
