The parts:
2x18.GB Cheetahs
LSIU160 controller card
2x80pin to 68pin adapters
two device 68pin SCSI cable
SCSI enclosure with power supply and 80mm fan

The Question:
Is there a utility that will allow the drives to be manually powered off or on from within WinXP ?

SCSI drives are built for server usage in a 24/7 environment.
I think EZSCSI from Adaptec might have an option like that but I can't remember for sure cause I haven't installed that app in years. It looks like it also hasn't been updated in the last couple years ...

i know u can make them sleep
but not turn them off
they arent designed for that
