the plug in the back has 9 wires not 4 and wth is the big huge plug, seems it was for high bandwidth something. the smaller says adtran 56/64 the larger is a 3com espl-610. not clear on what they are for though.

I know what that second one is... i think its a T1 modem... the company i used to wrok for had one in each office and at the main office a big ass one was in a rack... i dont know how they work or if im even right... but i have seen them and reconize it.

the 3 com looks like it could possibly be the top of a super stack II or III system... but then again i have no clue... i know sombody that will... ill have him look at this and he can tell me more about them and if they are worth anything.

give me a few days to find out if nobdy else does.

ok, thank you pugsley i did google them but didnt get anything useful, it came up with similar stuff but no prices or possible application info. if they are worth anything ill sell them to whomever wants them probly dirt cheap. also i came across a large number of 80 conductor hdd cables i might sell them too.

The Adtran 56/64 is a DSU (basically a t1 modem):

From what I could determine, the 3COM ESPL-610 is an ISDN router.

Does the 3Com ISDN router work ? Ours blew a cap, and I'm using a borrowed one until we move to our new building.

the 3com lights up and i presume does a self test and none of the error lights come on. the pic of it has what lights are on at the end of test. the orange light is a lan fault which i presume comes on due to no lan cable being present

plug it into to a cable and see if you can ping it.

i dont mean to seem stupid but as i havent done much with net work stuff perhaps you could give some instructions on how to ping it. i got win 98 if it makes a diff.
