USB Keyboard issue

I just built a new system with an AMD 2600 and the A7N8X Deluxe motherboard (rev 3) with Windows XP Pro.
I had a USB keyboard and USB mouse hooked to it. Even though the USB keyboard is supposed to work before Windows loads, it didn't. When trying to boot to CD, I pressed the key and nothing happens. I had to hook up a ps2 keyboard to install. Installed with USB mouse fine.
Anyway, the install went fine but as soon as I shut down and hooked up the USB keyboard again, I get an error (yellow exclamation point) in Device Manager under one of the "Motherboard Resources" entries (there are three of those entries but only one had the yellow point). Clicking on it says Device driver cannot be loaded because of a duplicate device, Code 42 (That quote is not exact but close). That happens with or without enabling the Legacy USB support in the BIOS.
The system works fine as far as I can tell but I can't get rid of that yellow point. If I put the ps2 keyboard back in, the yellow exclamation point goes away.
Any idea what is causing this?
