I need somebody with an nForce2 / Barton 2500 running 11x200 FSB with their memory @ cas2 to run a Sisoft03 mem bench and post their numbers so I can compare my KT600 mem scores.
Anybody?

If no one else can, I'll be able to either later today, or tomorrow. System is rather tied up for now doing some work.

cool. whenever. no rush. I've got my mem settings pretty well max'd out in the BIOS ( 1T, 4-way interleave, read write turnaround @ 1T etc )and it's running pretty nice. I'm sure it's still a bit slower than an nforce2. Hoping I've narrowed the gap a bit though.
What do you know! Someone who actually does work on their 'puter !! :laugh

Those are interesting numbers especially when you see the Athlon posting those high mmedia scores with the much lower memory bandwidth. Go figure.
I've read a few articles regarding the difference between cas2 and cas3, dual channel and no dual channel and basically they're saying that the amount of ram is more important than how tight the timings are or how fast the memory bus is. Case in point, the difference in bandwidth numbers from the Intel rigs to the Athlon.
Here's a read on the subject......
It's interesting to see the results on MP3 encoding, WinRAR and 3D Studio Max 5.1
http://www.tomshardware.com/motherboard ... index.html
The numbers I'm getting with this KT600 are with the RAM set to cas2-3-3-8. Mostly because I can't get it to run any lower. I had it cas2-3-2-7 on the nforce2 mobos I had but in order to run 1T and FAST command ( chipset ) on the KT600, I had to back off the TRas Precharge from 2 to 3.
Still looking tho for someone running same cpu and FSB as I on an nforce2 with RAM @ cas2.

My barton 2500+ is running on an Nforce2 board at 200*11 = 3200+
I hope there is something different with Sandra 03 and 04. Because these are my numbers in 04.
2530/2328

Is your memory at cas2? That looks more like cas2.5 or cas3. Or like you mentioned, maybe the '04 version is different.

I have a 2500+ but I only have PC2700 in it so I cant run at 200 FSB. I have it running at 12.5 x 180 and scored 2651/2553 in Sandra 2004. That is with 512x2 in dual channel mode at CAS2

That's cool. sounds about right. I'm not doin' too bad then with the ole' KT600.
Thanks for the replies fellas.
Took me awhile to get this BIOS ( AMI = weird ) sorted out after having used all the Phoenix/Award BIOS's for so long. So far so good tho. I'm really happy with this setup.

That AMI bios is sucktacular. My P4PX has one.
