Hi all. I have a question on drives. I just recently setup a dual boot system on my system. I started putting 98 on the first partition, put a small 2gig "buffer" and then when all was well installed 2k. It boots up fine, and all but When I go into 2k, I can see the 98 Partition. Bad for obvious reasons. Shouldn't these have been hidden automatically since this is different OS partitions??
I do have PartitionMagic 7, could i possibly hide the 98 partition or would that not let me boot?? TIA

Why would you want to hide the 98 partition from Win2K, unless someone else will be using it?
You can always use TweakUI to hide the C drive from appearing in Explorer, but it'll still show up in any path prompt window.

ya, that's exactly why I want it hidden. I don't like the possibility that just anyone can see it and mess with it. ie screw up the 98 OS royally.
I'll try the tweakUI though. My 2 roomates and most of the people that come over aren't to computer savvy.

TweakUI will work if they're not techies. In TweakUI go to My Computer -> Drives and uncheck it.
I would avoid disabling the drive letter in Disk Manager as others may suggest, since that makes it unavailable to the OS entirely which could cause problems since it's the boot drive.
