Hey, I just got one of these GeForce 2 MX cards and I installed it. Is it fine if the silver plate is stretched on to the case, so the silver plate isn't like touching the card on top? I installed it on my old computer and it looks the same, and I also tried installing my old video card on to my new machine and it's like a perfect fit just like on my old computer.

This is my first time seeing something like this, so I'm unsure if it's normal. I haven't tested the elsa card out yet, because I haven't completed my new computer.

Also another question: Do I need to have a grille for a case fan?

It should be fine, just make sure you get it in there tight and screw it in :)
Grills are not necessary, but they can make exposed fans much safer, especially if you've got kids or animals poking their little paws everywhere they can. :)

Some cheaper cases don't allow the mobo to sit right and it's not unusual to have to bend (sometimes a LOT) the aluminum bracket on a card. The important thing is that it's sitting level in the slot conenctor and it's FULLY seated. Otherwise you'll get an intermittent connection causing all kinds of problems.

Seems like a cheaper card to me.. cause it's the same way on my Dell computer case and Enlight 7237 case.
