System suddenly became unstable after a Dual boot scenario.. I formatted and reinstalled still unstable.. so I reseated the ram and now I've got my OC up to 2.14 from 2.09 *big jump right? ha ha* Try that?

Why not !! I've tried everything else. :laugh

Just weird in that I can't even get the original config back together. If I try to use the IDE hdd's, the mobo won't pick up the opticals and it's kind of hard to load an OS without those.

I reseated the cpu and fan/hs, memory, cleared cmos and FINALLY was able to put things back to where they were. Not sure what was causing the probs but it's all good now. Using a Raptor on this SATA connection appears to be a no go. Prolly just sell it.

yep. flashed the BIOS, tried different SATA cables, couple different pwr connectors and about 4-5 fresh OS installs. I think it's just a crappola SATA controller that was probably added late in the design to what is an otherwise great PATA mobo.

Life goes on I guess. :(

Thanks for the tips tho.

Right now I just have a single 120GB Seagate on the IDE RAID controller Primary channel with a 30GB Seagate slaved on same with opticals on the native IDE. Works great and all OCing capabilites are back to where I had them.

I'm curious tho as to what mobo's people have sucessfully run a single Raptor. Seems like a tall order to find one.

Anybody???
