POLL; What CD burning software do you use?

Post by Executioner »

I was using Easy CD Creator 5.3.5.10 basic with my win2k rig with Nero 5.5.9.0 installed. All worked great until I installed my new LiteOn DvD burner. I got a BOSD with win2k at boot. I had to manually delete the driver it installed in order to get it ho boot.

The problem is I'm using directCD on some CD-RW's, as I use it to copy data back and forth from pc to pc. Just curious as to the new version 6 was any good or does it suck?

Been using Roxio since it was known as Adaptec. For those that complain about Roxio . . . . . you don't know how to use it. I have burned 1 coaster with Roxio in all the years I've used it. :) For "special" burning, I use Alcohol120%. ;)

I've always used and preferred nero, but now alcohol 120% appears to be me new #1. It is waaaay less bloated. I think the file is around a couple megs.

I still use nero at times though. Haven't got into dvd burning yet.

nero does what i need it to for the time being. 6.0 is junk but it works.

I have Alcohol also, but I only use it to copy CD's. It's a replacement for CloneCD. It's probably the best burning software that I have for copying CD's. It has never failed me once. I never thought about using it for general burning though.
