Got my ram today

Post by NascarFool »

Ordered two sticks of Buffalo Technology 512PC3200 for $145.90 shipped. They have the Winbond CH-5 chips on them. Can't wait to try them out. :D Thanks for the heads-uo Vidman ! By the way, I got them from http://www.tblmemory.com , the price is right for a Gig of ram. Please pardon the big picture. The white mark was something on my scanner glass. :D

k...the pc is up and running w/ new mobo and the buffalo ram.

initial timings are 6-2-2-2.5

i'm running a 2100+ (1.7GHz stock) and my first o/c is @ 166fsb and 13.0 multi...for 2.158GHz (2700+)

i'll start cranking it up shortly to see what the chip will do. i previously ran that cpu at 2.2xx on the AK31 r3.1 that i destroyed w/ pc2100 ram. hopefully the new mobo and pc3200 will let me jack it up a bit and put it back into the f@h game. :)

ram timings as you go from top to bottom of page ( advance chipset features ) on nforce2 BIOS

7 (or 8 ), 3, 2, 2

will run 200-211 FSB til teh cows come home. :D If you're looking for 212-225 FSB try

8-3-3-2.5

i've found that the rig i'm running won't go beyond 180fsb w/out problems. i'm sure it's not the buffalo ram since that is pc3200...most likely the xp2100+ doesn't like it. hehe

i leveled it off @ 166 x 13.0.

fastest i've heard of this ram going is the 220-230 range, but that should be plenty for most o/c'ing needs. :)
