need some new DDR

i'd like to pick up some new DDR for my project pc. i'm thinking of PC3200 to make it a little more "future proof". the cpu used now is an XP 2100+ that i normally o/c via the multiplier to get it to 2800+ (i've been running crucial PC2100 256mb sticks for that)

what i'm thinking is getting PC3200...that way it'll work (and probably help out the o/c of the 2100+) now and also be good when i bump up to an XP3200+ in the future with the 400fsb.

think it's ok to go with crucial again? looks like they are asking $44/stick of PC3200 256mb.

i don't want to spend more than that...so what else should i consider?

with thatr price there is nothing else to consider. You could probably expect about a 10% - 15% overclock with crucial as well.

i bit on 2 of the pc3200 256mb sticks from crucial...

Module Size: 256MB
Package: 184-pin DIMM
Feature: DDR PC3200
Configuration: 32Meg x 64
DIMM Type:
Error Checking: Non-parity
Speed: 5ns
Voltage: 2.5V
SDRAM Timings:CL=3

~$93 delivered via 2nd day FedEx.

now just to decide on ANOTHER mobo for this system...since i made a poor choice last week with a non-overclocking mobo. :(

Crucial = cas3 . This is a MUCH better deal and much better RAM. Will run cas2 up to 220 FSB.

vid-

i saw that brand at newegg...you say the Winbond chips are best? they offer samsung and micron as well.

edit...just looked closer and the Winbond is the only CL 2.5...the rest are 3. guess that answers the question.

thanks!
