old computer clock question

i have changed the cmos battery - but my clock on my computer keeps loosing 3 hours any ideas how to repair it so it stays at the right time !

set it 3 hours ahead?

how quickly is it falling behind?

waht... look at it one second and its 12:00 and 2 seconds later its 3:00? or like a day later it will be off by 3?

can be 1 hour - or 6 hours but it will switch !

This seems to be a problem with some older mobos - probably a Y2K issue. You might want to see if there's a BIOS update.

Otherwise the simplest fix - if you have it connected to broadband - is to install Atomic Clock to keep it syncronized.

If you're running XP it has a built in Internet clock sync.
