[RANT]

Has anybody else seen the commercial for intel that deals with a game (I think I've seen two so far, one of them was for Lego's Bionicle) that says the game is BEST played with a P4 w/HT technology? Well, me says if you throw a 4MB PCI video card in that computer it's not gonna play the game for sh!t!!! It just erks me when I see stupid stuff like that.. Especially when they don't provide the whole truth..

Yeah it's almost as bad as AMD's magazine ads that tout the "64-bit revolution"

yea i saw that and got a giggle out of it. the average joe will be all like "cool i need one of them" and dont relaize that the video card plays a big part in that footage.

I know exacttly what you are talking about. I correct people all the time when they say they have a gaming machine. I ask them what kind of vid card they have and they say "I don't know, it's a Pentium 4."

amd is guilty of it to ala athlon xp _ best cpu for xp its just marketing

I know AMD has it's share of that stuff...

I guess it still comes down to Chevy vs. Ford.. heh..
