When I play some games it seems not as crisp and smooth as I think it should... is there certain reasons.

Is my computer bottlenecking due to my Proc?

Any suggestions?

Heres my system information. I'm also using Windows XP Pro.... :B

weakest links are your mobo and the 8500

i have a compaq at work which has a nforce1 mobo which doesn't have great throughput - also you are probably hindered by the 133 bus - best bet would be to upgrade the vid card i think

also check compaq for updated mobo drivers, etc.

try overclocking the 8500 a little and see if that helps -

Would help if you would post what games and what resolution you are trying to play at, just lowering the resolution and eye candy options a bit in the games can help a lot.

Currently I'm playing Call of Duty, Star Wars Galaxies, Delta Force BHD, Max Payne 2, and soon to be Horizons.....most @1024x768... but even with a gig of ram and 128 ddr vid it still doesnt seem crisp...
any advice and how I might be able to tweak my machine to the point where it wont explode on me :B

even with 8 gig of ram and 1 gig of video, if it is a slow card it would still cause issues

your radeon 8500 is the most apparent bottleneck here

yup...throw in a better vid card and call it a day! :)

snag a radeon 9600pro or better. once that is done, your cpu will be the bottleneck...
