Options to get winXP SP1 other than download?

Just installing a fresh winXP pro(old disk) on my new system and updated all the windows critical updates on dialup(5 hours!) and then go to do SP1, and it slows down to "5 hours remaining!"

It doesn't seem to manage the download piecemeal, just wants the whole thing or nothing. Tried starting it at nite but it keeps giving me "server not responding" windows so I have to restart.

Anyway, I really dont feel good about buying the OS repairs on disk from "Bill" for the operating system "Bill" sold me origonally, I also have a copy of winXP home with sp1 on it already but couldn't find any folder with it stand alone in case I could just copy it over.

Any other suggestions?

If not, I'll buy the SP1 disk but its the principal, not the money.

you can order it from MS on CD I think

or, I can download it and share it in the PCA DC hub, then you can just d/l it from me there overnight for a few nights and be set

thanks for the offer :D

Bill wins! I ordered the disk today. How can they say a 56k download of 50-80mbs should take about 90 minutes.

At least I'll have it in hand now and Bill should have the OS all patched up so wont need any more service packs ;)

**************Backordered! ***************Bill's revenge I guess
