Cases: Lanboy?

Post by NeB »

i am in the search for a new case, my old one is REALLY FALLING APART. last week i heard a nasty cracking sound and resolved on buying a new one. i seen some reviews on the Antec lanboy, my only problem is that the front door seems flimsy, it needs to last a fair while, i was wondering if anyone new anything about it, for example, is the door weighted so it closes naturally ect. any help would be great.

Doesn't close by itself but isn't a real flimsy door either. All together it's a pretty good case. Personally i like the idea of dual drive rails and not half drive rails but still.

It is built pretty good. The front door is rather flimsy-feeling but with normal closing and opening it'll be ok. Like Busby said, it isn't weighted and doesn't close by itself, you have to close it. Unless it gets abused it should last.

See more info on it here:

I've had my main rig in one of these cases for about 6 months now and I'd say they are well worth it. It has seen its share of LAN partys already and held up nicely. It's light-weight, comes with a decent power supply and a free gear grip.

The front door is a bit cheap but mine stays closed all the time so it hasn't been an issue. I would defintely buy another one of these cases, if I don't upgrade my rig to SFF shuttle or something.
