dell no post, nothing on screen no beeps. I reseated the processor (celery 400 slot1), changed the memory slot, and cleared the cmos. Next step is to test the chip in my sisters rig. If that doesnt work its prolly the mobo, ya think?

supposedly the thing just hard froze. she went to reboot and got nothing.

Probably, be aware that some dells use a plug that looks like a stardard atx , but some of the leads are different so be careful

If it's that old (400 Celery) try replacing the CMOS battery, then reset CMOS. Seen a lot of old mobos that won't POST when the battery gets below a certain point.
