Godaddy.com registration and forwarding questions

I just got around to registering my domain name again with them.

absoluttalent.com

And i set it up to forward to my server and an index page

http://64.53.233.250:90/index.html

How soon after I set these changes from thier domain manage menu should the results be shown?

It took me about 2 days before my domain was working fully.. eGo

they will usually tell you 24 - 72 hours to propogate.

Godaddy changed mine in less than 24hours. They do say 24 to 72 hours turn around time.

ok, now heres another question.

With godaddy and their forwarding, can it forward to a file thats listed in the forwarding address?

can i do http://www.absoluttalent.com/babysale.jpg and have that show up?

What are you trying to do exactly? Forward a domain to your home machine?

I do it an easier way, go to http://www.zoneedit.com , sign up, get some DNS servers for your domain, and then use it with a DynDNS client to update ZoneEdit automatically. I do it and it works AWESOME. Up to 5 domains are *free* too.
