Hardware or software problem?

Post by two slow »

I copied some dvds to my hard drive and when I watch them sometimes they act up. The sound or video get out of sync and jumpy, like it is playing at a slighly faster speed.
I used superdvd or something like that, to copy them to the hdd and I'm using powerdvd xp to watch them.
rig(not overclocked)
Asus A7N8X Deluxe rev1.04 drivers from the cd
XP 2600+
512Geil3500(this sucks a**)
2x250gig maxtors connected to a promise tx2
120gig sata wd boot drive
ATI 8500 cat3.8s

Any ideas?

my vote would be software...they were not ripped properly by the software...causing the A/V to be out of sync.

I found if I pause them, when they get out of sync, then push play it will play fine.
