Ok.. I'm trying to run DocMem on two IBM computers.. On of them is a P4 2.4ghz w/XPro the other is a P4 2.0ghz w/XPro I cannot get either of them to run DocMem from a disk or a bootable CD.. It gets to the part where it should load the program then it says "Do not run in Virutal Mode" What's the deal? It runs just fine on ALL of my XP machines. Any help is appreciated.. TIA eGo
BTW Yes, I googled..

You're booting Docmemory from a floppy right? I only ask because I'm confused by the statement "It works on all my XP machines" and the fact that you're getting as "Virtual mode" error suggests you may be trying to run it from within Windows.
You CAN'T run any REAL memory test from Windows - you can't test the memory the OS is using, and XP usually uses a good 100Mb all by itself.
Doesn't matter what OS you're running - you don't even need an OS installed - Docmemory is supposed to boot from a floppy.
That said, there ARE some systems that Docmemory won't run on - I've run into a few over the past couple of years. Certain mobos just can't run Docmemory - don't know why, but it doesn't happen often.
Must be the later..

I tried from both a floppy and a CD (from boot).. It didn't work for anything.. I finally gave up and brought the memory home and tested it here.. Thanx FP!! eGo
