Help with GF's comp...

Post by Demrok »

Girlfriend's computer has two hard drives and on the slave drive she cant delete any of the files. It gives an error saying "Error deleting File or Folder. Cannot find specified path, make sure you specify the correct path." But if you move the files to C drive, they can be deleted no problem.

Where should I look to see if the drive is read only? It doesnt look like it is, but I still dont know what to do.

There is no way to set the drive itself read only - you can set files or folders read only, or if you're using NTFS file system then only someone with the proper permission can access the files.

Did that slave drive by chance come out of another computer?

Have you done a scandisk on the drive?
