I decided to give me system a complete cleaning (it was a little dusty)

So i basically disassembled everything.

Now I put it all back the way it was (ram in the same slots, same stuff in the same IDE channel, drives on the same cables, etc...) Hell, even the drives got the power connector

So i turn my system on, and it gets to the windows loading screen (well i changed the picture of the screen, but its the same thing, and I never had any probs with it)
but the loading bar, in the bottom middle of the screen, starts about half way, but it never goes any farther.

When I try safe mode, the screen stays on the black screen with the white bar and says LOADING WINDOWS, but nothing else is happening...

any ideas?

I sure hope i didnt fubar something, cant really afford to lose a compenent on this system at this time (main system)

And win2kpro if its of any relevence

I made a noob mistake and didnt follow my own advice for this one

I quickly went back, unplugged all IDE cables except for the one with my master boot drive

started up

it worked

then shut back down, added the second drive on the first ide, as well as the second ide which has my 2 cd drives

boots up, works

shut down again, added the third ide (which has 2 more HDs).....didnt boot
reason being, they werent on the correct channel. They origionally were on ide4, i put them on 3. And the drive that normally goes on 3, went on 4
Why that would fark something up, i have no idea

i thought they were all in the right spot......oh well :D
