IRDA Kit

Post by Lonely Raven »

Anyone know where I can pick up a standard IRDA kit?

I've got some projects, namely updating my phone and
syncing it with my Outlook, that I'd like to use the IRDA ports
on my main desktop and my fileserver.

I can't seem to find just a basic, install it yourself kit.
I'd really hate to pay $40 for one simply because it says
Gigabyte or Soyo on it...

Any links, or suggestions you may have seen?

Any and all help is greatly apprecaited!!

Yeah, and that's my last resort, but I'd really like to use the IRDA header built into
my motherboard and mount the transmitter/receiver in a bay front or faceplate
or something...

I don't like the idea of another object hanging off my computer honestly.
I break enough stuff as it is!!
