Anyplace I can find this info in Sandra or XPro? I know that a while back 6-8 mos. Somebody posted a link to a software util. that monitored them.. I'm wanting to see the temps with a new drive cooler I got (thanx ChottoEd) and see if it's worth putting the new 120GB 8MB cache drive I have coming in it, or just leaving my WD800JB in there. I did a search in google and couldn't find what I was looking for, and probably didn't search for the right strings here. TIA eGo

ActiveSmart (assuming the drive supports this feature - not all drives report their temps): http://www.ariolic.com/

You ever install it before? It leaves something in your registry so you can't get more time by re-installing it.

The free one that I used is called DTEMP. It works great, but you have to have the SMART feature enabled in the bios or it won't work.
