Bought one of those Radius Rad 5c 15" LCD monitors for the workbench (kitchen table). It was on sale for under $230 and I said WTF.

Good for a bench monitor, and it can stay on the kitchen table hooked up to my LAN party rig so I can browse news sites and listen to radio stations in the morning.

The 15" tube monitor was taking up WAY too much room.

ANYWAY, just for grins tried some Day of Defeat on it, and I'm rather suprised to find it looks good. I was expecting some major ghosting - it's not a fast response monitor, but it's completely playable.

Not good enough that I'd take it to a LAN party - still prefer a 17" Trinitron super flat, but it's not bad.

I bought one of the original Rad-5's. I think it's been almost two years now. Got it for under $250 after an OD coupon and a rebate. I was skeptical at first, but was also pleasantly surprised by the display quality. However, I've never tried gaming with it, it's hooked up to my V5 and configured as my second monitor...it's wonderful having all my photoshop tools on the Rad while the main client is running 1600x1200 on my main monitor. It's also nice to have Outlook displayed on it while I do other things on my main monitor. I don't know how I survived so long with a single-monitor system.

The only real negative thing I have to say about it is the max rez. I would prefer 1280x1024, but it can only do 1024x768.
