Man here i was thinking i could get a quailty 420-450 watt supply for like 50-75 dollars... boy was i wrong! i dont need one with all the fancy shit on it... just a plain one that makes POWER!

I have been thinking of throwing in an old AT 250 to run drives and accesories and leave my 300-350 watt hooked only to the mobo.

Should be no problem finding a good one for $75 or so.

Your PSU is the life blood of your PC. I've seen a LOT of systems damaged lately due to cheap PSUs.

Do yourself a favor and get a good one. Antec PSUs are very good. I also like Enermax, although some people say they've had problems with them on Epox mobos.

If you can live with a 350w PSU (and unless you're running several HDDs, 350 is adequate) this is a reasonobly priced PSU for $55: http://www.newegg.com/app/Viewproduct.a ... =EG365P-VE(FC).

Here's a good Enermax 460w unit for $80: http://www.newegg.com/app/viewproduct.a ... VE%28FM%29

Here's an excellent Antec 450w unit for $71: http://www.newegg.com/app/Viewproduct.a ... X12V%20450

umm... yea... im kinda imbearASSed to say this.. but today i took my stuff apart to put new HS and redo some wiring and i found my PSU is only a.......................

250 WATT PSU!!! so i guess a solid 350 would work... but i plan on havin a ton of LEDs in my case.. so i better go with a slightly larger one... or use the seperate 250 or even a 125 to run all the LEDs.

so that means i could bust this one open .. put some more regulators and capasitors to increase the output... but i think id be better off just paying for a good one.

CompUSA has a 400W Antec on sale for $49...sounds like a decent deal. pick one of those up and sleep easier at night. ;)

the 300w compusa one I had was pretty good. Pushed alot of hardware, and was extreamly quiet. it lacked good cooling though, but your case should take care of that.
