my new pc from dell...i did a fresh install of XP on it and a few quick benchmarks:

3dmark01: 15,999
3dmark03: 5,950 <---w/ the "non-cheating" 330 patch)
(all run at default settings in each...1024/768, 32bit, etc)

p4 2.8 w/ 800FSB
768MB DDR (PC3200)
radeon 9800

when i get time i will throw the radeon 9800 (non-pro) into my xp2100 @2800 rig and see how it stacks up against the faster FSB of the new dell.

haha...i know...i know. too lazy right now to dig for it. i am running PCMark2002 on the new one and also on my other tweaked, older XP rig. should be interesting.

results:

P4 2.8 w/ 768MB dual-channel DDR PC3200 (800FSB), Radeon 9800, and 60GB 7200rpm west dig

CPU: 6911
Memory: 7903
HDD: 1062

XP2100 @2800 w/ 512MB DDR PC2100 (266FSB), Radeon 9000 Pro, and 120GB 7200rpm west dig

CPU: 6403
Memory: 3789
HDD: 1105

the older system's higher HDD score is due to the 8mb cache...the Dell has a 2mb cache i bet.
