well, today i had to take down the whole farm due to furniture reaarangeing and a new workstation desk. Got everything back together and my main system would hang on post or not post at all. So i reseated everything - nada

cleared cmos- Im overclocked
Pulled cards one by one till down to only agp- nada
Swapped out memory-nope
unhooked all ide devices-nada

after all this (a couple hours of fustration) I pull the ps outa another rig and walla it fires right up
so the ps could power everything but not post the computer

Shut down computer, hook old PS up, it actually boots and gets to windows this time but freezes, unhook rehook up other PS- no problems

Posting on it now.... So im short a ps
and a temper

Yup. My PowerMan inexplicitly died on me two weeks ago. I thought I had fried my mobo, ran thru just about every test you did

That's the second PowerMan I've lost in the last four years...

Yea im starting to think about just biteing the bullet and spending 60-70 on a decent PSU- all my systems run overclocked and 100% cpu 24/7

Remeber the days when all ps's were built good and you didnt have to worry about this shit?

bp6 with dual 550's
celermine 900@1200
and a p3 1000

And its still alive and kicking 24/7 for 6 years + now

LiteOn 300w here for 18.99, raidmax 350w for 12.99 or an achieve gold dual fan 550w here for 32.99. Not sure how good they are, but good prices.

yea.. im in the market for a bigger PS. I hooked up a second Cathode to my inverter... and when i turend it on my PC reset and kept doing it after it would post... so its time to get a nice big PSU.

yeah i love my Antec True Blue 480W its taken everything i've tossed at it with pride

blade the raidmax you linked is very similar tyo what died- after about 4 months of use
