Anyone with an Epox 8RDA+ know how to turn off the system speaker audio in the mixer?

I can hear the beeps coming from the system speaker through my sound card speakers. It's annoying the crap out of me.
I've disabled the feature in BIOS, and there's no slider for the system speaker in the Windows mixer or the NForce audio application.
WTF?

This mobo has the mobo speaker wired into the onboard sound card. I use Lotus Organizer for appointment scheduling and it's setup to play a sound on the mobo speaker as an appointment reminder (I do this because I usually have headphones plugged in so a WAV file reminder is useless).
The problem is that when the reminder goes off, it deafens me if I have my phones on at the time.
There is apparently no channel in the sound mixer for this so I can't mute it.
There is a setting to disable it in BIOS (at least that's what it SEEMS to be) but it doesn't do anything.

God I remember the first time the bios beeped out of my sound card speakers on this board I about came out of my skin it was so loud. Disabling the feature in bios worked for me. Just a shot in the dark but maybe a bios flash is in order.

Latest BIOS.
I just double checked. In Bios there's a setting called "AC97 Speaker at POST" setting which IS disabled, and I do NOT hear the POST beep through the speakers.
However once Windows boots, the mobo speaker channel in the mixer is apparently enabled.
There HAS to be a way of disabling this damn thing....

EDIT
----------
I search AMDMB.com and found that I'm not alone. NVidia removed the "System Speaker" channel from the sound mixer in the latest drivers for some stupid reason, so there's no way around it for now
