DDR memory question

I don't really now too much about all this new ddr ram shit..well it ain't new but new to me. I have a xp1800 on a ecsk75a mobo...what speed of ddr should i get for the chip and my mobo?

If you plan on running at stock speed or only slightly over clocked PC2100 should work fine. Your mother board is not known for being a great over clcocker but if you do plan on trying to over clock then you might want to consider some of the faster ram like PC2700-PC3500

I say you get PC2700 or PC3200 for future upgradability. You might niot be able to get past 150 FSB on that mobo though. But, the PC3200 is made to reach 200 FSB, so when you upgrade, you're set! :)

I'm running a 512mb stick of PC133 on mine and I have it at 143 FSB and it's stable as a rock. I guess I got some good ram. I tried putting some PNY 2100 in it and it wouldn't post past 147FSB so not a whole lot better. So if you're wanting anything better than that, go with 2700 I'm trying to get some for myself to see what kind of FSB I can get out of it. GL eGo
