Came back saturday, and it wreaks of that electrical smoke smell. None of my outlets work. AND the RA's and couple who are supposed to be here to help, leave every weekend. So today finally got them to flip the breaker back on only to find my main rig won't start.

I switched out the psu to one I knew worked, and nothing. All i could get was a slight turn of the cpu fan. :( Is that the end of board as I fear, or do you guys have any ideas?
Oh ya, on top of that, this has been about the 5th surge/outage in 4 weeks.
I just hope my newly bought 2100xp isn't fried as well :bang

That sux. :(

Only way to be sure is check each part in another system one at a time.

I knew one that happened to. I tested each part and everything was dead. He even had an expensive surge protector too.

But maybe some parts of yours are good, I hope.

***UPDATE***

Got my 8rda+ from SVC(The real SVC ;) ) today! Even got upped from the 8rda no charge, because they were outa stock :D

Tried all the parts so far, and I only lost the 2100xp. (Ironic how the newest stuff dies first, ugh).
Guess I'll try the homeowners route, or do you think AMD would notice if an RMA was fried?? haha j/k
