Ram problems

I jsut percused 256mgb of Geil ddr 2700 Ultra its CAS 2 5-2-2 1T but it wont work with my asus a7v333 motherboard evan though the motherboard suports pc2700 ram... if there is some thing i can set in the bios to make it work or any thing please let me know what to do. thank you

have you tried putting the ram in another system to make sure it isnt just defective?

I know there is also a program that you can run that will tell you if the ram if faulty or not (forgot the name of it, if anyone wants to help out)


And what kind of problems are you getting?
you put the ram in, does the board even post?
Are you trying the ram just by itself?

have you tried to change the timings of the ramfrom bios?

my computer wont run my asus has that vocie thingy that tells u what problem its haveing and it tells me, ram problem plezz check ram... i have checked ram by its self still dont work but ill try it in my friends system to see if it works or just stop putting of my 2en system and try it in that

It's cas 2 ram and in my bios its set at cas 3 would changeing it to cas 2 help things?
