Returning Dead CPU?

Hey Guys, my retail XP1800+ died on me this morning. I kept the box and everything. What do I do to go about getting it replaced? Anybody done this before? Any idea of turn around times? I'm kinda flustered because now I'm without my main rig. So in the meantime, I'm just gonna pull all my stuff off the K7S5A and run a older system I've been waiting to install. Any help and experiences are appreciated.. eGo

call amd at: 4087493060 they shoudl be able to help...you will need the retail heatsink fan. thats how they track the retail cpu's.

THe one and only rma I did took liek a MONTH...but everyone else I have ever seen only takes about a week. :(

Well, I called them, I finally found a # before I saw your post Greg. Took about 5 minutes to get a case# now I just have to print out this email and I'll ship it out today. Thanx for the quick response and I hope it doesn't take them a month to do mine. The guy tried to tell me that my mobo K7S5A wasn't made for the TBred processor. *shrugs* Go figure.. Anywho..
