DVD Decoders

I have a Toshiba 4300 series laptop with a DVD player. Recently i took Win98 off of it and put on WinXP. Unfortunately, i believe it uses a software decoder for the DVD player that i no longer have. Does anyone have a solution?

yea, s3...its probably built into a VIA chipset.
