The airflow only goes up to 26.9 cfm though. But it is a step in the right direction and blowing the hot air towards the rear exhaust fans is another plus.

The heatsink doesn't asppear to be any improvement on their previous versions, sadly.

You guys ever look in a modern Dell Dimension or Optiplex desktop? THAT'S the ideal solution. A BIG ASS heatsink with an air hood over it that ducts out to a rear fan hole, with an 80mm fan on the back sucking the air OUT.

It stays VERY cool and it's EXTREMELY quiet. On the newer Dells you can't hear the fans at all if the unit is on the floor.

Wow, thats a neat looking heatsink for sure.

As for the Dell's, Gateway does the same thing. So do all the Compaq & HP servers. Reason they don't do it in home-built systems Im guessing is because it's a custom solution, and with home built stuff there's to many "What ifs" that can happen, ya know?

It's rated under 30 decibels so even on the highest speed, it is quiet. It would have been better to have it much faster on high so it'd be acceptable for oc'ing with it. As it is now it's fine for default speed on the newer cpu's but overclocking with it will be a challenge.

They should have made a newer designed heatsink to go with it too. That design is the same as they have used for the last 2 years.

I would like that fan to put on one of the otehr HS they make... the HHC-001 (the one with heat pipes) and see how it does compared to a regular 60 mm fan.
