My kid is moving back in with me for a semester so it is time to network the broadband. I have settled on either the Netgear 314 or the SMC Barricade router. Done some research and can't find (or don't know) enough to discern a real difference between the two except the SMC can be had for less and has an on board print server....

Anybody got any insight or experience to share?

Thanks

netgear all the way, baby

i had the SMC barricade for about 1 week and sent it back to buy.com. replaced it with the RT314 and haven't looked back. the netgear has been flawless and seems to be put together better also (the SMC was a tiny plastic thing...the RT314 is metal) :)

it's worth the xtra $$$$. no dropped connections, etc.
