Dead Stick of Ram...

Hey Guys.. I have a dead stick of 512mb PC133.. While yes, I know this stuff is getting cheaper, It's Samsung chips on CBG pcb? Those are the only letters I could find on it. It also has ©2000 on it.. So I'm guessing it's at least 3 years old. I don't know if my search for who made this ram would turn up any type of Lifetime warranty on it. I was just thinking I could RMA it and save some money. The only #'s I could find on it were PC133U-333-542-Z which is right below the 512MB on a sticker, and another sticker that has 38832MJ13512MB the last part obviously being the size of the stick. Now, the first number took me to a website that says it's Hyundai, so I may have typed all this in a waste of time.. Lets see.. *digs a little more* Ehh.. The only thing I could find doing a search for Hyundai ram was dealers.. bah.. I guess this could be hopeless. The stick of ram works, but it's a dud. It failed MemDoc, and if it's in my computer, it will freeze up about 2-5 minutes after complete boot. Take it out, which brings me back down to 512mb, no problems.. So, any help would be appreciated, in the mean time, I will keep digging.. TIA eGo

If it's got an FCC ID on it somewhere you could find out the maker over at the FCC ID database. Other then that, may be kind of tough to find out hehe

Nope.. lol

I thought about that one already.. No FCC.. That website lead me to a Hynix.com which is supposed to be Hyundai's elec. website. They didn't have anything about RMA or Warranty on their page. So I'm just gonna chalk it up to a lost cause I guess. *sigh* Another $41 down the drain.. lol.. I guess that's what I get for asking for a PreFab off of fleabay. I've replaced everything that came with it except for the PSU, which is a CodeGen 350W, and the CodeGen Case.. *sigh* lol.. I replaced an XP1900+ w/an XP1800+ Retail, and a ECS K7S5A mobo with the same. However, the Mobo may not have been bad, was probably just the processor. ehh.. Oh Well.. I'm fixing to build some more PCs so I had to buy some PC2700 for mine now, I might as well get 3 sticks of 512mb PC2700 and pull the stick of PC133 that's in there now. Thnx.. eGo
