"Burning In" a new board...

I'll be replacing my mobo in the next few days with an ASUS A7N8X DELUXE, keeping all the other components the same until I can afford a new CPU and RAM. Do I need to "burn in" this board and how do I go about it? I'll be setting my WD drives to RAID 0 on the serial ATA with a couple adapters and doing a fresh install of Win XP Pro and all software. Any other tips for this board to get it running smoothly out of the box?

Athlon XP 1700+
2 sticks of Crucial 256 meg PC 2100
Geforce Ti 4200 128 meg
Soyo Dragon+
Audigy Platinum
Creative PC-DVD master in IDE 1
LiteOn 40x12x48x CD-RW master on IDE 2
2 WD 80 gig Spec. ED. as RAID 0
Maxtor 80 gig slave on IDE 1
Seagate 80 gig slave on IDE 2
3Com internal PCI DSL modem

I haven't used that board but jhave a couple of epox nforce boards - the nforce boards set up very easily - there are others here with your board and i'm sure they'll be along -

just remember to keep everything at default values while you're setting up - and most of the nforce boards have has significant bios improvements which you need to check for

Only problem I have had is the front speaker jack dying on me. The board is a solid board with many many great features. I have everything hooked up but have not tested the Firewire or USB2.0. I love the dual nics and the on-board sound, it is to some better than the Audigy. This board benchs nicely and has been stable as a rock.

But, do I need to "burn it in" or can I just set up and go? I've had nothing but problems with my Dragon+ board and I've basically replace EVERYTHING attached to it over the past year with no success. Could this be a result of not "burning it in"? What exactly do you do to "burn in" and does it matter?

you shouldn't need to burn in a board - if you have active northbridge cooling you should make sure the fans spinning otherwise just turn it on and go
